What Is The Micah Experience?

The Micah Experience trips let your youth group see how God uses the experience of serving others to change lives - in both your youth, and the people they serve.

During a Workcamp week, 400 or so young people gather to help others by using their hands to perform meaningful home repairs. And God uses his hand to touch their hearts.

Your young people will arrive at a Micah Experience camp curious. Energized. Maybe a little intimidated. But soon they're repairing a sagging porch, painting a house, building a wheelchair ramp, or mending a leaking roof ... and having the time of their lives! They're meeting new people, hearing new stories, and telling their own. They sweat together, eat together, and worship together.

And during all this, a transformation takes place. Not only in the lives and neighborhoods of the people they are serving. A transformation takes place in them.

Every sore muscle, every conversation, every song, every nail symbolizes all that's good about The Micah Experience.

The work. The fellowship. The worship. The friendships. But most of all it symbolizes a renewed and strengthened connection with Jesus.

As one camper put it, "Something clicked, and I put God first."

Your youth can experience this transformation too. View the list of locations for summer 2010 and bring your youth group to a life-changing adventure next summer.
